Latest newsPhysio-Control completes sale to Bain CapitalREDMOND, Wash. and BOSTON, Jan 30, 2012 Physio-Control, the world’s leading provider of emergency medical response technology for use in the intervention and treatment of sudden cardiac arrest and other medical emergencies, today announced the completion of the sale of the company to an affiliate of Bain Capital, a leading global private investment firm. The transaction which was announced November 17, 2011, was valued at approximately $487 million. Simultaneous with the closing, Brian Webster, formerly President, has been named Chief Executive Officer of the newly-independent company. Interim analysis of the LINC trial is accomplished and the study continues according to planJune 21, 2011, Lund, Sweden During the spring of 2011 the planned interim analysis of the LINC trial has been completed by the SSAI (Scandinavian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine) scientific committee. The results of the analysis allow the study to be continue. Based on this, the LINC steering committee has decided to continue the LINC trial according to plan. This means that the enrollment continues and the final patient is expected to be enrolled in the summer of 2012. The results are expected to be published in a scientific journal during 2013.
