This training is relevant for both LUCAS 3, v3.0 and v3.1. It does not include training on optional setup features (v3.1).
Train regularly to keep up proficiency. Cardiac arrest may be an infrequent event.
After completing the theoretical test successfully, you will receive a certificate of completion.
Train to apply the LUCAS device hands-on and do a user performance evaluation.
Resuscitation consists of a range of activities that need to be performed timely and correctly.
We suggest you train not only on the LUCAS device, but on your complete local resuscitation protocol, including manual chest compressions, rhythm checks, defibrillation, ventilation, medication and patient management strategies. These are all critical elements for successful resuscitation.
Organizations globally have developed comprehensive protocols and check lists to follow when implementing LUCAS into resuscitation. Find examples of these as well as other useful training tools on our training resources page.
